Once again our hearts are full of gratitude for all your prayers and support these past months. We are back into full swing of things here, so now for a quick recap of the month of February and going into March.

Besides our normal Bible studies (Tuesday for Esther and Thursday for Ron), our Sunday classes have been doing well and growing. We had our Sunday teen class over yesterday for burgers and activities and 21 kids attended!

Ron continues with the men’s breakfast at church the second Sunday of the month. They have a strong core group of men that attend.

We also hosted a number of people needing an overnight for airport trips this past month, and will be hosting four friends from the States this month as they tour around Ecuador doing everything from the beach, a mountain climb to a jungle visit. Just call us the “Borman BnB!”

Our Homeschool Teen Night activities continue, with February 1st being our big fundraiser fair. It was very successful, with our group raising a record amount of money for our retreat scheduled for the last weekend in March. The kids worked hard on their booths and everyone said the Renaissance theme was a hit! Thank you for your prayers for us that weekend.

Our next Homeschool Teen Fellowship meeting we will be celebrating Purim, which is always a much anticipated event! It includes costumes and acting out the drama of the story of Queen Esther.

February also saw a baptism in the Cofan village of Zabalo where six people were baptized and the church leaders of Dureno, Leoncio and Wilson, preached to a full church. Please continue praying for these folks who desire to live a life of faith pleasing to the Lord.

Pray for those desiring baptism in the village in Sinangue in the coming months. A date has not been set yet for this event, but there are several making the commitment and waiting eagerly.

We have had an unusual amount of calls from the Cofan communities for health issues this past month. Most want prayer, but also help with costs. Costs for transportation for cancer treatment (travel from the jungle to Quito), needed cataract surgery, gallbladder pain, bruising from a tree fall, motorcycle accident – are some examples. Pray we will have wisdom as we help with these needs.

The weekend of February 22 – 26 (holiday weekend in Ecuador), Ron took five El Camino Bible students from Quito and one of their teachers to Dureno for a ministry project. They did a puppet show, mime, taught Bible lessons, sang, and spent time with the people of all ages.

For this coming month, pray for our Homeschool Teen Fellowship retreat March 26 – 29. Hours of preparation have already been put in and hours still need to be done, but we pray that the Lord will prepare hearts and minds for the teaching of God’s Word. We are excited that Lydia will be coming down from Mexico on her spring break to help us out!

Also, pray for the Cofan churches. Later this month, the Dureno church is planning a special work day to spruce up their church and do some projects on the building. Pray for the leaders, Leoncio and Wilson, and their families. Pray for the Sinangue church, their leaders Ramon and Fabian, and their families. Pray for Dovuno, that still doesn’t have a core group of believers that meet regularly, but so look forward to Ron and his team to visit once or twice a month. Pray for the Zabalo church and their leader, Iter, and his family.
