Dear praying friends,
This past month has flown by with the “Jesus” project and other activities. Thank you so much for your prayers and we are humbled by your gifts of support that you send. God is so gracious to supply the needs of the work here.
Cofan village visits: Ron was able to make a quick visit to Dureno, Dovuno and Sinangue the end of February. He went to two of the smaller satellite villages near Dureno and was able to meet with the children and adults and renew contacts there. March visits are planned for the 9th-11th and 24th-26th.
The church in Dureno has set a goal for this year to visit five or six other Cofan or Spanish speaking communities on the river system near them. Pray for this outreach – something that Ron has prayed about for many years and that the church leaders have on their own decided to do this year. What an encouragement!

Pray for Marcelo as he continues his studies at IBME. A big “thank-you” to those who have sent gifts in for his schooling!

“Jesus” movie project: We hosted over ten Cofans on the property as well as the two technicians from Peru for over ten days to complete the Cofan recording/dubbing of the “Jesus” film project. Everyone involved returned home excited and looking forward to the finished product! Ramon was able to watch a rough copy and was so moved by experiencing the history of Jesus Christ visually AND audibly in his own language that he had tears in his eyes. May the hearts of the people be moved as they watch this film and may many come to Christ! Ron is planning a “holy week” trip to show the Cofan dubbed “Jesus” movie in eight locations leading up to Resurrection Sunday. We appreciate your prayers!
Other Ministry Opportunities: Ron continues to be involved in a Thursday morning Bible study and is helping with one on Thursday evenings. Esther continues in a women’s Bible study in our home on Wednesday afternoons. Esther, Lydia, Isaac and Aaron continue to work with the 3 – 5 year olds Sunday mornings at English Fellowship Church; Julia works in the nursery and Ethan’s young adult class on Sunday mornings is well attended.
Our guestroom continues to be busy this year. We enjoy the opportunities God gives us to extend hospitality!
Homeschooling Activities: The Homeschool Teen Night group that we lead on Friday evenings twice-a-month continues to be well attended. The Homeschool Teen Retreat is scheduled for April 3rd-6th at the beach. Please pray for our time with the teens and to have some other parents help chaperone during this time.
Continue to pray for the Ecuadorian and missionary families involved in our homeschool group.

Family: Our family has been praying the last few weeks about taking on an extra student for homeschooling. The Lord has directed us and we plan to help out fellow CMML missionaries Dan and Nikki Rogers by schooling their Andy along with our Aaron for ninth grade this coming fall. We appreciate your prayers as we branch out in this area.
Continue to pray for Julia who has applied to Emmaus Bible College and is looking at other colleges that have a Christian worldview and teach music. She enjoys teaching her piano students and continues in her own piano, voice, flute and guitar studies. Pray for her as she finishes up high-school (graduation is May 18th) and looks to what God has for her future – and for a summer job.
Sarah’s is in Dubuque, IA at Emmaus Bible College continuing as an “intercultural studies” major. Pray for her finances this semester and for God to continue to direct her. Pray for a summer job opportunity.
Ethan continues at Alliance Academy International here in Quito, Ecuador, being a teacher aide to the third grade classes. Pray for him as he interacts with people and looks to what God has for him in the future.
Lydia continues with her work here in Ecuador with Compassion International and is enjoying teaching English to her two students on the side.
Ethan, Julia and Sarah are excited that they will be in the States for their cousin Rachelle and Mike’s wedding on May 31st!!! Pray for safe travels for them the end of May.
In Christ,
Ron and Esther Borman and family
